Our GREATEST Work!

· Prayer,Routines

Who are you praying for today?

Take a moment to think of those for whom you are uniquely called to pray. If you don't pray for them, who will?

Think of your dearest ones, your farthest ones, your neighbors, your enemies - and just pray.

You don't know what to pray for each one? Be a sleuth - watch their lives and look for hints, just as you would if you were giving a gift. Or ask them. Or make something up!

You’re not alone in this. You’re part of a great collaborative!

KNOW THIS: The Holy Spirit is near and He knows more about that person (and everyone else!) than you do.

"We do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words." (Romans 8:26b)

KNOW THIS: Christ is right there and is standing with you in prayer.

"Christ Jesus...is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us." (Romans 8:34b)

KNOW THIS: God is waiting and He hears.

"Call to me and I will answer you." (Jeremiah 33:3)

My practice of identifying and praying for MY CERTAIN PEOPLE was inspired by Andrew Murray, who said:

“Let us each find out what the work is, and which souls are entrusted to our special prayers; let us make intercession for them our life of fellowship with God.”*

Just think what a privilege this is! You have certain people entrusted to you for prayer! Pause - ponder - and pray! In doing so, you’re part of God’s great collaborative work. It may be your life’s greatest work.
